Adjunct Lecturer Daniel Bishop is completing his Ph.D. in Musicology at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. He is a native of upstate New York, where he received degrees in music education and cello performance.

His research interests include film music and the aesthetics of film sound, twentieth-century art music, and the history of sound reproduction. Currently, he is working on a dissertation on the use of music and sound to represent history in films of the 1960s and 70s.
