Harpsichordist/Fortepianist Hsuan Chang’s playing has been praised for its “elegance with admirable clarity” (Herald Times). A prizewinning keyboard soloist, Hsuan was the 2012 winner of the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra/Early Music Institute Concerto Competition (harpsichord), and the Early Music Institute Concerto Competition (fortepiano). Performance and recording engagements have taken her to prominent venues in Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Europe, including the National Theater Concert Hall in Taipei.

An active scholar in the field of eighteenth-century keyboard music, Hsuan has been invited to lecture in Singapore, Malaysia, and Taiwan. She has performed in master-classes for world-renowned musicians such as Skip Sempé, Pierre Hantai, and Christopher Rousset. As a visiting scholar at Harvard University, Hsuan recently participated in the symposium,  “Improvisation in keyboard music of the Classical Era”, with Professor Robert Levin.
