Yuval Gotlibovich holds first prizes in national and international competitions, among them the 2003 Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition in Britain, the 2004 Israeli Spring Competitions and the 2004 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition in the U.S. as a member of Trio di Colore.

As a recitalist, chamber musician, and soloist, Professor Gotlibovich has toured throughout North America. He has collaborated with world-renowned artists, including Menahem Pressler, Marc-Andre Hamelin, and Imre Pallo, as well as members of the Cleveland, Orion, and Mendelssohn String Quartets.

As a proponent of contemporary music, he frequently presents the premieres of new works for viola. He regards violist Atar Arad, with whom he studied for the past five years, as his "greatest musical guiding force."
