The 4,500-pipe Auditorium Organ, built in 1967 by the Schantz Organ Company of Orville, Ohio, contains pipe work from the 1889 Roosevelt Organ from the Chicago Auditorium Theatre.

The Auditorium Organ is most commonly played as a part of university ceremonies, orchestra and organ events with Jacobs School of Music orchestras and Dennis James' annual Halloween appearance.

The recitals afford members of the general public an opportunity to hear a variety of organ music drawn from the extensive repertoire of students studying organ at the Jacobs School of Music.
