IU Jacobs School of Music announces new, free podcast selections

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University's world-renowned Jacobs School of Music is sharing its performances with the world -- free -- with a season-ending musical celebration online. Three years ago, Jacobs was at the leading edge of a trend to "bring the arts to the people" online so that a worldwide audience can enjoy the school's operas, ballets and musical performances from the comfort of their home computers.

In addition to the podcasts, the IU Jacobs School of Music Recording Arts Department, directed by Konrad Strauss, updates its on-demand streaming video player on a regular basis with recent performances in the Musical Arts Center.
