Wilber England was a student of Brad Spinney, James Salmon, Stanley Specter, and Maurie Lishon. He is a former faculty member and assistant director of bands at Northern Michigan University.

Mr. England is former director of the Indiana University Percussion Ensemble, IU Marching Hundred, and IU Basketball Pep Band, and is active as a clinician and adjudicator throughout the country.

He is completing his thirty-fifth year at Indiana University as coordinator of all musical instruments (issuance, repair, and maintenance), applied lessons for Undergraduate/Graduate degree percussion, and Instructor for the Percussion Techniques course. Professor England has taught Percussion Ensemble Literature courses and Percussion Repair courses at IU and is president of the Indiana Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society, as well as contributing editor for the percussion programs section on the PAS Web page.

He is a contributing editor for a series of method books for FJH Publishing Company, and is coordinator/conductor of the Indiana Music Educators All State Percussion/ Marimba Ensemble.
