Background:
In addition to his studies in Vienna, Imre Palló attended the Budapest Conservatory as a piano, composition, and percussion major.
Professor Palló worked with Herbert von Karajan at the Salzburg Festival and made his debut as a conductor in America in 1973 with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center.
He has conducted major opera companies and symphony orchestras in the United States and Europe, including the New York City Opera at Lincoln Center, Saint Louis Opera, San Francisco Opera, Canadian Opera, Berlin State Opera, Dortmund Opera, Frankfurt Opera, Budapest Philharmonic, Bavarian State Orchestra in Munich, Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, and the Israel Philharmonic.
