Background:
Paul Biss studied with Josef Gingold and Ivan Galamian and is a former faculty member of the University of Tel Aviv and the University of Akron.
He was assistant conductor of the Akron Symphony and former member of the Berkshire Quartet. Professor Biss has participated in major festivals including Ravinia, Marlboro, La Jolla, Lockenhaus, and Casals. He has performed as a soloist and with orchestras in North America, Europe, and Israel, and has performed chamber music concerts both as a violinist and violist.
He has conducted the symphonic and operatic repertoire and taught master classes in Europe, Israel, and North America.
