Background:
Henryk Kowalski studied with and was assistant to Tadeusz Wronski and Josef Gingold at Indiana University.
Professor Kowalski won the Jacob Gade Prize in Copenhagen, 1969; was a founding member of the European Trio in 1977; and has performed concerts throughout Europe, Latin America, and the United States. He has performed as a soloist with orchestras in Europe, United States, and Asia, including Seattle, Saint Louis, Warsaw, and Copenhagen, and has taught master classes in the United States, Iceland, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Korea, and Japan.
He was invited to become an honorary member of the Japanese String Teacher's Association in 1991, and has been a visiting professor at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden, since 1994.
