Biography
Alan Bennett has an active performing career, with appearances throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe in oratorio, recital, and opera.
He has performed with the Atlanta Symphony, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, Calgary Philharmonic, Seattle Symphony, Colorado Symphony, Houston Masterworks Chorus, Oratorio Society of New York, Les Violons du Roy, Tafelmusik, Handel and Haydn Society, Washington Choral Arts Society, Tanglewood, Carmel, Bethlehem, and Oregon Bach festivals, and many others.
He has also performed with many prominent conductors, including Robert Shaw, Helmuth Rilling, Christopher Hogwood, Bruno Weil, Bernard Labadie, and Sir David Willcocks. Mr. Bennett has recorded for Harmonia Mundi USA, Nonesuch, Telarc, and Focus Records.
