Background:

BaritoneTimothy Noble has enjoyed an international career performing leading roles at major opera houses including the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, Chicago Lyric Opera, Canadian Opera in Toronto, Opera Montreal, the Glyndebourne Festival, La Fenice in Venice, and the Netherlands Opera. He has performed with the orchestras of London (Philharmonic), Chicago, Cleveland, St. Louis, Cincinnati, and Indianapolis, and has appeared at Carnegie Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, and the Ravinia Festival. He performed a recital for the NATS National Convention in 2004.

Noble serves as vocal consultant for the Canadian Opera and Chicago Opera Theatre Young Artist Programs, and is Founder and Artistic Director of the Charley Creek Vocal Workshop.

Noble's students have won Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, the Palm Beach Opera Vocal Competition, Bel Canto Opera Competition, and The Dallas Opera Guild Vocal Competition. His students hold or have held positions with the young artist programs of Glimmerglass Opera, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Santa Fe, Brevard, Indianapolis Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Metropolitan Opera, Nashville Opera, Central City Opera, and San Diego Opera. They have also appeared in leading roles with Omaha Opera, Indianapolis Opera, Metropolitan Opera, and Utah Festival Opera.

In the 2006-07 season, Noble will be singing the role of Boris Ismailow in Shostakovich's Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk with the Canadian Opera Company, and Falstaff in Guiseppe Verdi's Falstaff with the Indianapolis Opera.
