Background:

Robert Harrison performed as a freelance chorister in New York City under Leonard Bernstein, Shaw, Stokowski, Brubeck, Gregg Smith, and Eve Queler.

He performed at the White House for president Nixon, and is a former faculty memeber of the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Professor Harrison has performed nationally at NATS and CMS conferences, Sonneck Society, and the Midwest Historical Keyboard Society, and he served as Master Teacher with the NATS Mentoring Program. His master classes and performances include American Academy (Rome), Universidad Nacional de San Juan (Argentina), American University (Cairo), Real Conservatorio Superior de Musica (Madrid), the Conservatori di Musica del Liceu (Barcelona), and the Hochschule fur Musik-Hanns Eisler (Berlin).

Professor Harrison's students have won or performed on/at the following: Truman Award, Met National Council, Denver Lyric Opera Guild, San Francisco, Central City, Opera Colorado, New York City, Santa Fe, Glimmerglass and Ohio Light operas, Boston Symphony, Tanglewood, Philadelphia Orchestra, Aldeburgh Festival, and "PBS Great Performances."
